Administrative

The Administrative Division of the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office is multifaceted in its duties and responsibilities. The Administrative Division is a group of two smaller divisions comprising sworn and civilian personnel.

The Professional Standard and Training Division is under the direction of Lt. Gregg Jordan. Lt Jordan is responsible for Internal Affairs investigations, training, recruitment, and the hiring process at the Sheriff’s Office. The Haralson County Sheriff’s Office has several Georgia POST (Peace Officer Standards and Training Council) certified instructors that assist Lt. Jordan in teaching training classes.

The Administrative Staff is under the command of Sgt. Heather Mecillas. The administrative staff has two divisions, reception and managerial.

The Receptionist serves as a point of contact for the public and the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office and either aids the public within the scope of their duties and responsibilities or facilitates connecting the public with the correct personnel to receive assistance.  The receptionist also serves as the primary terminal operator for GCIC and as the main point of contact for warrants, bonds, and records.

The Managerial staff are responsible for supervision and ensuring operations within the Sheriff’s Office run smoothly and efficiently. Managerial staff are responsible for records and the supervision of GCIC operations. They are also the main point of contact for courts, other agencies, media, and vendors.
