ReportIt is a service provided to local residents because the Haralson County Sheriff's Office wants you to be prepared in the event of a theft or loss. It's a proactive tool that allows you to easily catalog information about your valuables. This includes serial numbers, owner applied numbers, photos of property and scans of receipts. It's completely internet based, so you never have to worry about losing the data you have saved.

The Sheriff’s Office encourages all residents to use this free online system to help keep track of valuable --- and invaluable --- personal property. ReportIt is a free, secure online service allowing citizens to record serial numbers and upload images for phones, electronics and other valuables. Should those items ever be stolen, Haralson County Sheriff’s Office says having the information will go a long way in accurately and quickly identifying your property.

The ReportIt service is a part of LeadsOnline, the online system that works with police across the country to track and recover stolen property. Agencies use LeadsOnline to help track and recover everything from jewelry to sporting equipment to electronics, computers, cameras, and other items such as designer clothing, collectibles, and other items with invaluable personal worth. The system allows detectives to search for the items using a variety of parameters, including item descriptions and serial numbers. When an item is sold to a pawn or secondhand shop, the product information is entered in the LeadsOnline database and is immediately viewable by participating law enforcement agencies across the country.

ReportIt is free, secure and available to all residents of Haralson County, and each account may store up to 100 items. Additional storage is available by emailing citizen@leadsonline.com. Corporate accounts are available by contacting LeadsOnline at 800-311-2656.

Your information is password protected and is accessed via a Secure Socket Layer (SSL) network connection. This is the same type of connection used when you access your bank account online. The information you enter is also protected by the same high-level security measures that are used by financial institutions and government agencies.

The Sheriff's Office suggests that you list anything of value including collectibles, jewelry, electronics, machinery, lawn equipment and even designer clothes and handbags.

Although this service is provided by the Sheriff's Office, your information can only be accessed using your username and password. Should your property go missing, you'll be able to print the information from any computer with internet access and give it to your detective.
