Fore

On July 14, 2023, Daniel Scott Fore, a 44-year-old W/M out of Tallapoosa, GA was arrested and charged with Failure to Register as a Sex Offender. On July 13, 2023, Sex Offender Registrar, Investigator Sean Chastain took a Failure to Register as a Sex Offender warrant on Fore because he did not register prior to his birthday. There are three levels or risk classifications in Georgia, level I is a low or average risk to reoffend, level II is an intermediate or above average risk to reoffend and level III or sexually dangerous predator is a well above average risk to reoffend. Fore is classified as a Level II risk in the state of Georgia, which means he is above average risk for future sexual offenses.

Pursuant to O.C.G.A. 42-1-12, each registered sex offender must come to the Sheriff’s office within 72 hours prior to their birthday to be photographed and fingerprinted. This is not the first time Fore has failed to register, he has been arrested previously on that charge. Fore was convicted in 2003 for Aggravated Child Molestation, Aggravated Sodomy and Child Molestation. Fore failed to register prior to his birthday on July 12, and when he did show up two days after his birthday, he was arrested on the warrant that Investigator Chastain had already obtained.
