Haralson Sheriff Foundation

Georgia legislation through the Law Enforcement Strategic Support Act, known as the LESS Crime Act, now allows Georgia taxpayers and businesses to claim tax credit for supporting local public safety efforts by contributing to qualified law enforcement foundations. The donation received by qualified foundations can be used for training, buying and/or maintaining equipment or bonuses. Sheriff Stacy Williams has worked to establish and qualify the Haralson Sheriff’s Foundation LTD to make a way for donations to be received that can be utilized to enhance the safety of our law enforcement officers, and our citizens as well. For those interested in the donation and tax credit, you must be preapproved through the Georgia Tax Center.

Recently, Waffle House made the first donation to the Haralson Sheriff Foundation. The very generous donation made by Waffle House Inc to the Foundation was $37,500.00. We would like to thank Waffle House for their support for the citizens of Haralson County and the Haralson County Sheriff’s Office.

“This foundation will allow us to receive donations from individual taxpayers and businesses in Haralson County,” states Sheriff Stacy Williams. “This means that hard earned taxpayer dollars will be kept in and invested in Haralson County. The monies will be used for training and to get new and more advanced equipment which will allow us to better serve our communities.”
