Huddleston

On Thursday, June 1, 2023, Sgt. McAdams attempted to conduct a traffic stop of a white Chevrolet Tahoe for a taillight violation. The vehicle did not comply with the traffic stop and a pursuit began on GA Highway 120 at the VFW. The high-speed pursuit went onto Coppermine Road and into Paulding County before coming back into Haralson County on GA Highway 120. Haralson County C Shift Deputies responded to the area and attempted to deploy stop sticks; the driver of the Tahoe went completely off of the road to avoid them. The driver, later identified as Michael Huddleston, attempted to turn left onto Oak Circle and ran into a ditch causing a single vehicle accident.

Huddleston attempted to get out of the vehicle and flee. At that time, Sgt. McAdams did deploy K-9 Janco as Sgt. Taylor, Sgt. Bauder and Deputy B Henderson backed him up. After K-9 Janco was released, Huddleston decided to comply with deputies’ verbal commands. Michael Shawn Huddleston, a 36 year old W/M out of Temple, GA was arrested and is facing charges including Driving While License Suspended, Tail Light Requirements, Fleeing and Attempting to Elude, Reckless Driving, Speeding along with multiple of other traffic offenses. Huddleston also had active warrants out of Carroll County GA.
